Just add your own wrapping and pop it under the tree! Only one design will be selected as the overall winner, but with 25% off the full cost of printing and hemming for *every entry… Everyone’s a winner!
No purchase is necessary to enter the competition, however if you wish to place an order for your design and claim the 25% discount, head over to our Place Order page and submit your order as normal. Please enter “Christmas Scarf Competition” in the comments and discount boxes.
Entries must be in by 1st November 2021. The winner will be announced on 3rd November 2021. We aim to return finished scarf entries that have requested printing and hemming with a 25% discount by 20th December 2021.
Each submitted canvas should include 4 scarves at the sizes shown below. You may wish to have the same design in 4 different sizes or design 4 seperate scarves to fill the canvas. The choice is yours.
Compeition entries must be 135cm x 135cm overall (to include 1mm cutting line between scarves). Use this template to help you design your canvas:
One scarf design
Two scarf designs
Will you add borders? If you do, they must be at least 1cm wide, so they don’t get lost in the hemming process.
How about adding your own signature? Every artist signs their work! Include it in your design at least 2.5cm away from the edges. If you would like some more advice on designing scarves, please visit our Scarves page.
The winning entry will be printed and made into scarves with the 3 square designs having a machine pin hem finish and the long design having our single bagged finish. They will include a care label and be packed individually in clear cellophane bags. All entries wishing to take up the 25% discount offer will be printed on Silk Twill 61gsm only. It’s a fabric that’s just perfect for scarves and a very popular choice. Discounted scarves are restricted to one canvas per customer.
We have a panel of judges eagerly awaiting your designs. So, send them in as soon as possible.

The processes involved in digital textile printing causes the original fabric to shrink. If you are printing scarves, the size of the finished product will be important to you. For example, if you have square artwork, you will be expecting your finished scarf to be square!
To get the printed fabric closer to the size you need, all fabric intended for scarves must go through an extra step to reshape it. Please allow extra time on your deadlines to allow for this process.
Let us introduce you to the …
The stenter is an enormous piece of machinery that has many uses, including coating our fabrics and reshaping scarf orders.
After travelling through a solution to soften the fabric, it then passes over a flat bed, gripped on the selvedge edges to pull it back into shape.
It’s a long and precise process that needs to be carefully monitored.
If you have selected to use our hemming service, we will check the stentered fabric for you before we begin to finish your scarves. If you are not using our service, it’s up to you to check the size BEFORE you cut out the individual scarves from the fabric length. We cannot re-size after your scarves have been cut out.
