100% recycled kraft paper

Padded Envelopes

These envelopes are made from heavy duty 100% recycled kraft paper. The padding offers great protection for our printed fabrics. As they are such high-quality, sturdy envelopes, please reuse them when shipping something of your own. When they really do start looking worn out then simply pop them into your recycling bin.

100% recycled polythene

Heavy Duty Tube

Longer lengths of fabric must still be shipped out on a roll. To protect the printed fabric, we have found eco-friendly heavy-duty clear flat tubing. This remarkable product is derived from sugar cane. It is a carbon-neutral, 95% renewable and 100% recyclable polythene that acts as well as the old plastic tubing but with those all important eco credentials.

Paper Rolls

When you open our new outer packaging, you will discover an inner layer of protection. We are now using 100% recycled brown paper rolls that we can cut to size. Avoiding waste by only using what we need makes this a flexible and economic solution to necessary packaging. It is also fully recyclable. The high-quality substantial paper weight makes it ideal for other uses, too! Use it for sketching out ideas, as an art and craft material or simply repackage your own items with it.

Paper Tape

We haven’t forgotten the sticky tape either! The recycled paper will be fastened with a self-adhesive kraft paper tape. It is the perfect eco-friendly, 100% recyclable and biodegradable paper tape.

HERE'S WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS HAVE TO SAY!

Printing Scarves

Shrinkage

The processes involved in digital textile printing causes the original fabric to shrink. If you are printing scarves, the size of the finished product will be important to you. For example, if you have square artwork, you will be expecting your finished scarf to be square!

To get the printed fabric closer to the size you need, all fabric intended for scarves must go through an extra step to reshape it. Please allow extra time on your deadlines to allow for this process.

Let us introduce you to the …

Stenter

The stenter is an enormous piece of machinery that has many uses, including coating our fabrics and reshaping scarf orders.

After travelling through a solution to soften the fabric, it then passes over a flat bed, gripped on the selvedge edges to pull it back into shape.

It’s a long and precise process that needs to be carefully monitored.

Shrinkage Disclaimer

If you have selected to use our hemming service, we will check the stentered fabric for you before we begin to finish your scarves. If you are not using our service, it’s up to you to check the size BEFORE you cut out the individual scarves from the fabric length. We cannot re-size after your scarves have been cut out.
