Sophie’s LFW finds

Well what a week! Now that London fashion week is over it is back to the office to reflect on the trends of the new season. Sophie has been researching high and low for the fresh bold patterns and colours which hit the catwalks for the S/S 17 and A/W 16 Ready to Wear collections. BURBERRY-IMAGE1

Burberry hit the runway with their Ready to Wear collection for A/W 16 and have nailed the colours for this season perfectly. The Satin works great with that slouched pyjama look that seems to be coming through, not only from designers but also from the high street. Perfect because of the soft flow and drape on the body. The prints achieve a truly great result on this type of fabric. Under the spot lights the details are really pronounced. The simplicity of the dress design is a platform for the digitally printed pattern. Here at the Silk Bureau we ensure that all our silks are washed with softeners to keep the finish and provide a high sheen to an incredible standard. We also aim to pick up and print as much intricacy as possible. BURBERRY-IMAGE2

From slouched boyfriend shirts to wide leg striped bottoms, long shirt coats and lingerie inspired bodices, Burberry have used layers to give their garments that winter feel without using heavy fabrics to weigh you down in the upcoming season. We particularly love the edging and the way they have used cording in contrasting colours to pronounce the shape and cut of the clothing.

The relaxed simple look means you can be as comfortable at work as you would be in your own home. A win win for everyone!
